In the summer of ‘86, my Uncle George flew my cousin and I out to Colorado for a two week vacation. On the first day, we went to the mall and he bought us each a cassette. My cousin bought True Blue and I chose Music From The Edge of Heaven. It was a battle for which cassette we were going to listen to, but let’s be honest, it was a win win for me! 32 years later, it still stands out as one of my all time favorite vacations. French Bread Pizzas. All night Monopoly marathons. Seeing Top Gun in the theater and renting The Breakfast Club on VHS. Camping in the Rockies. Hiking in flip flops. Going to a water park during a lightning storm. All with music from the edge of Heaven.
